Anyone have any opinions on this?

I am not looking at this as a diet plan...just an option for breakfast. I truly have NO time in the AM to make a meal and c-stores have next to nothing I can eat. Add to that the fact that I have never been a breakfast eater, and I am really stuck.

    Thanks

No opinion on this one kiddo. I have never liked Slim Fast anything. You might want to search the recipe board and see if there are recipes you can make in advance and just nuke to warm and eat.

I have even been tossing the hamburger on the George (forman grille) and throwing it on a bed of lettuce to get my meal together in the AM.

Read the label very carefully and watch for mood swings and cravings.

Maybe a crustless quiche in the freezer would be a better choice. You could make it on a day off, cut it into portions, freeze then quickly zap in the morning. Each week you could vary the veggies. You can even just toss in left over chicken, meat, or fish from dinner for a change.

I hate plain eggs but I love quiche and scambled eggs with cheese and onion. So maybe this would work. Or maybe not...

Thanks for the ideas... I will try them.

I have been doing a lot of road work lately with my job and that is where I have needed the quickie grab and go stuff. I have not found this stuff to cause cravings or mood swings so far, but I will keep and eye on it.

I lost a large amount of weight with that program in the past (but boy did it mess up my metabolism) so I think it may help the cravings just from a "old habit" stand point. But like I said I will use it only in emergencies.

Thanks for the advice and support

Not to be a smartypants, but doesn't a frankenfood fall into "second set of groceries" that you wanted to avoid? But maybe your husband will like them too. Good luck! No matter how you get on the wagon, at least you are still riding it!
