  • Becky Sue **July 2003 thru July 2005**

    The difference is 94 pounds.

Today I had a friend ask me to put the two pictures together, so I did. Thought my atkins family would like to see how I have changed.

It has been 2 years of following my new WOL. I want to tell you I will follow this WOE from now on, it is a habit now. I am not at goal but I can now wear size 12-14 clothes. This amazes me because I told my DH that if I could wear a size 18, I would be happy. Not realizing that my size 24 body would shrink this much.

So don't get discouraged if the weight isn't coming off as fast as you want. This is a journey and it is so worth the time it takes. After all the journey will never be over until your final day. So ENJOY! I sure am.

Everyday I am healthier, slimmer, happier, and more confident in myself. Low Carb eating is the answer. Thank you Lord for showing me the way.
    Happy Low Carbing! My friends!

I wish more people would grasp the concept that it's a lifelong commitment. If you're not losing weight you're gaining it. People who want to quit after 3 weeks because they didn't lose 8 pounds every week are a little frustrating. They want a fast food diet. "Make me feel better fast."

You just need to stick to it.

    Happy Atkinsversary!

Becky Sue, you look simply beautiful. The difference in your before and current are amazing. I can't tell you how proud I am of you. Your trials with candida and your perserverance are absolutely inspiring!!!

You are so right about the journey. It isn't how much weight I lost this week that keeps me going. It's knowing that everyday I continue this WOE, I am becoming healthier and healthier. I am shrinking slowly and doing it the right way. I have no intention of ever changing this WOE. It suits me. It makes me happy to look in the mirror each day and see a smile looking back at me. And it doesn't hurt knowing I am most likely extending my life expectancy.....

Thanks for sharing this with us.

I feel the same way as you do. Success doesn't come in a pill, or from a shake or just hopes and dreams. Comes from hard work and determination.

              Becky Sue,

YOU LOOK FANTASTIC. Amazing how much younger you look and the beautiful smile you have now that you feel good about yourself. Isn't it great?

I totally agree with everything you said. This is a way of life, not a race to see who can lose the most pounds in the least amount of time. As with all adventures we undertake in life, there are up days and down days. The secret is to just keep going. If you do it everyday and don't give up... it will become a habit.

Its not a matter of luck, it is persistance and staying positive. It is surrounding yourself with the wonderful people here in the ADBB who understand and support you regardless of your weight.

Who is that young girl next to the first picture??

Man, I wish I could say the same after two years. But, I will some day.

You worked through a lot of stuff and deserve the accolades
