  • Update - 88 Pounds

Hi all! It sure has been quiet around here lately. Everybody must be busy exercising!

Just thought I'd check in. My weightloss had really slowed...almost to nothing. Well, 2 weeks ago I made some changes. I gave up the nuts I shouldn't have been eating on extended induction. I gave up my diet soda. I recommitted to my exercise. And I moved on to OWL. In those 2 weeks, I have lost 6 pounds for a grand total of 88! I am so thrilled!

For those of you out there who are stalled or frustrated with your rate of loss, really take a close look at what you are doing. Be truthful with yourself! Identify the things holding you back and tweak your plan. If I can do it, you all can too!

    Hope everybody is doing well!

Good job in taking a self-review. I have had to do the same thing to check out where I have gone astray. Seeing the benefits only prove that we grow as Atkineers each day, and that it is a life-long journey not a race. Glad to see you on the right track again.

So true! Sometimes a little adjustment is all we need to get the ball rolling again! Congrats on the 88 pounds, girl!!! What an accomplishment! I'm sorry, but I don't know any other diet place you can go to, and read SO many accounts of major weight loss! Its just further proof that Atkins is awesome!

SO TRUE!! When I decided to buckle down and lose weight for good, I did research all over the place to see what diet worked for people who needed to lose a lot of weight and not just like 10 or 20. It seemed like only atkins and weight loss surgery would work for me. i decided to give atkins a try before surgery, glad I did.

Congrats on 88 pounds, that is really cool!!!

          GREAT JOB!!!

I've hit the same roadblock. Some nuts here, a little (really, A LOT) of creamer and diet soda there. It all added up to the same 3 lb gain and loss for quite a while now.
Back to this basics today. I've had 94 oz of water so far today, and a nice grilled chicken salad for lunch. There's no way I'm going to regain all the weight I've lost thus far, and just have to pick myself up and keep going.

Thank you for this much-need post!

Jackie, it sounds like we were both in the same boat. Just a bit here and there amounted to a lot and it does affect you. I'm sure you'll be happy with the results after cleaning up your program! Let me know how it goes!

Thanks everybody for all of your support!
