    Hi all!
    Been checking out this website for awhile and I enjoy coming here each morning and checking it out. I've been over weight for as long as I can remember, besides kid pictures of me. I had a baby last September and hit 299....ouch! Then had surgery on gall bladder and hit 304, even worse. Tried low cal, didnt work. A lady from the gas station in my town talked me into this WOE, she lost 62 pounds since January.
    So I decided to take a chance, been working out at Go Figure (curves) and been watching my carb intake, no I havent read the book but Cindy(gas station lady) is working with me and whenever I have a question I just call her. Well today I weighed in and I'm at 270!!! I dont remember the last time I was that low. I haven't noticed my pants fitting better but my shirts are fitting better, no more streching them out with my knees so they fit!!! Bought myself a ab lounge so hope that helps! Well can't wait to get to know some of you and can't wait til ONEderland!!
    Boyfriend isn't supportive, says Im not turning into a beauty queen fast enough for him, Ive lost 34 pounds in 1 1/2 months!!! This would of bothered me but since starting this WOL Im more confident and proud of myself.

    Welcome Beth..Good For you!!! Remember you are doing this for yourself and not your bf..Get the book you don't have to read it all at once...

        Welcome aboard, 34 pounds is amazing, especially in such a short time!!!!

          Hi Beth - for someone who has not yet read the book you have done well!!
          It is great you have such a helpful and supportive mentor to turn to.
          BTW - if the reason you have not yet read it is cost - you can get copies for very little in charity shops/thrift shops in most towns.
          If however it is because you are 'time-challenged' try just reading a chapter at a time at least up to the induction chapter. You will find it so much easier to follow if you have read the reasons behind how this way of eating (woe) works.

                Tell your boyfriend we all say that you are doing great and he should be very supportive. Good going on the exercise, too. I think you might have found what works for you. Congratulations.
