    My new family member

I posted this in my journal, but I wanted to share my good news in here too:

We just got a new dog last week Thursday. We had been looking for awhile, and found the breed (American Eskimo) we really wanted in a pound about 50 miles away. She is a miniature American Eskimo, and we still haven't figured out what to call her yet. She's the tiniest dog we ever have, so I am hoping she handles the kids play well. We are questioning whether or not she was actually spayed too, so a trip to the vet is in our near future.

For those that don't mind eye torture, I have posted the requested swimsuit pic (went swimming yesterday with the kids) in my journal. Sorry Diva, that is as close to a speedo pic as I have at the moment.

Cute little puppy Kent! I'm sure she's a big hit with the kids! I checked out your pic in your journal, and WOW, you look great!!! Maybe you should get one of those skimpy Speedo's!!!

What a beautiful little lady. Kudo's to you to adopting a dog who needed a good home instead of supporting the puppy farms!

She shouldn't get much bigger as a miniature American Eskimo (which already look like a smaller Samoyed dog). I think their ideal weight is only 15-25 pounds full grown. Dogwhowillbenamedlater is about 16 pounds right now.

Right now, the name Laura is favoring is bunny. I don't know yet. I throw out all kinds of suggestions, Snowball, Too (short for Bo (our original American Eskimo) Two), or Carby. Nothing stands out right now, and kids keep calling her the pound name of Susie, which wasn't her original name either --being a stray off the street.

What a nice little dog. I have two shih-tzu's, Emily and Dusty. Sounds like your kids love her already.

I checked out your swimsuit photo and all I can say is HUBBA, HUBBA, LOL

I didn't really think Pickles was a good name for a dog. I just had a hankerin' for a pickle!
