Well, here's my thrill for the afternoon. I measured myself. It's been a while since I've done so, but the scale has been being all a-friendly with me lately, so I thought maybe the tape measure would be too. So I dragged out my records and measured up.
And according to the size charts at torrid.com and alight.com I'm a size 22.
Well, colour me delighted!
I'll be coming up on my one year Atkinsversary next month. And I've moved from a size 32 to a size 22.
I can remember being a size 22 when I was 14. My mother made my grade 8 graduation dress. I can rememeber feeling a little sad because all the dress patterns that I thought were really pretty stopped at a size 18. I asked my mum if she could just make the dress a little bigger. She sighed and said maybe one size, but not two. I did get a pattern I really liked, and the dress was gorgeous. (At least, I thought so at the time. My tastes may have changes since I was 14) And now I could wear it again if I were so inclined. I'm not. But I'm just saying I could.
