I was thinking this morning.. I have had a very long stall (5 months with virtually no loss). I kept telling myself that I was doing everything right and the weight loss WOULD come again. Again, I was telling myself that I was doing everything right and I believe I actually convinced myself of that. In retrospect, I knew all along why I was not losing. Though I was eating properly, I became lazy on my exercise, lazy on my vitamins, and a few too many weekend drinks (no carb vodka so again I gave myself the excuse--no carbs! It's all good. As if the empty calories are all good. D-uh, me!)
Anyway. Now that I am 100% back on track with sincerely excellent food consumption, lots of water, NO ALCOHOL, execise 6X per week, and religiously taking my vitamins, I am WELL on track again. Not weighing but I absolutely have no doubt that I am losing body fat at a good rate. I can just feel it.
My point = everyone who has read the book and paid attention to the good advice on these boards KNOWS that this WOL is not only a matter of what you eat & drink, but success comes with consumption along with vitamins & exercise. Yes, well all know that... but, after some time and great results, we may slack a bit in one department or another. I'm convinced that, after reading this board for a long time, this is the case for most genuine stalls.
If you cease to see results, be honest with yourself. Have a good look at your current lifestyle. Re-read the book and pay attention to the ways you may have gone slack.
This is not just a WOE (way of eating), because success comes with much more than that. Next time you encounter a stall and don't understand why, examine your WOE, but more importantly, examine your entire WOL.
I believe very much in this lifestyle and have little doubt that everyone can and will be successful.
