Re: Fr1endly2...
WOW, thanks for noticeing my weight. YES i am very happy with how fast i have been looseing with my new tool. MY life is 100 percent normal, no pain, no tireds. I just eat less now. I have been very active this summer with my kids at the lake with the weight i have dropped. I know i should be excersieing more. BUT i am 100 percent pain free, i am tolerating all food pretty well. I have had one mishap that i didnt chew my steak properly and got ill but otherwise i am really happy with myself right now. I am one pound shy of 75 lbs gone. WHICH is 49 lbs since my surgery on JUNE 1 and 24 post op pounds. THANKS
for asking how i am doing. I am very much on a lo carb high protein way of eating now
but I TRULY get full on small amounts of food that range from 4 ounces to 8 oucnes. I now have a healthy satisfied point that i hit that prior i never had. SO my new tool is working well so far.

Re: Fr1endly2...
Way to go, Lisa! I finally got back into CC to see your reply. I'm glad you've recovered so wonderfully. If I don't get better with this diet, and quit gaining and losing the same 10 pounds, I may consider your tool. Right now, its like... new low, fall off the wagon, new low, fall off the wagon. I've got quite a pattern going here. Thanks for the update!

Re: Fr1endly2...
WELL when i look at me i am not seeing the weight loss...im seeing me at 310 pounds still. I am hopeing the next 10 ish pounds make a better vision. I mean i know im getting into XL tops, 14/16 stretch jeans so there is improvement but im still seeing the fat and not happy. I will work on the picture soon.
YES, i can sooooooooooooo relate to being on and off with the way of eating. ONCE i fell off atkins after my first attempt i just never got the same results the next goo around and kept falling off and on. IT was hard. THEN i just made up my mind to research the weight loss surgery. I was also just feeling so down, so unhappy about me and worried i was a heart attack waiting to happen. THAT brought me to the start a discussion with my primary doctor about me looking into the surgery. HE agreed i needed to do something, and if it improved the quality of my life it was worth doing.
BOY it has improved my quality of life...I mowed the lawn in my backyard the first time
i ever did something like that in my life. I have the energy to do things that has been gone for 20 plus years now due to my extra weight.THANKS Friends
LISA
PS: ill work on a picture soon! Still havent bought a new outfit im wearing things big still and shopping about in the closet some!

BOY it has improved my quality of life...

I'm so glad for you that this worked out. Your success story is very encouraging! I started to look into it, actually sent for an information packet from a surgeon who has been highly recommended but fear of what might happen made me turn to the Atkins plan once again to give it another try. It's been a struggle but I don't see any other way for me right now. My husband is not supportive of surgery as he's afraid of the "what if". We have two teenagers and the prevailing thought is "better a fat mom than no mom at all". At least it has made him supportive of this diet.
Good for you and I'll be looking forward to seeing your progress in pictures!!!

Re: Fr1endly2...
YANKEE.....
IT wasnt an easy decision to make for me either. BUT it really got to the point that once i fell off ATKINS, i couldnt get back on...and made many attempts to get on board but failed over and over for 6 months. I hit my all time highest weight and truthfully feared i was gonna die from the poor health i was in. JUST going up the stairs at my record high of 310 lbs i thought i was gonna have a heart attack....
I figured at that point the risks of surgerys and the chance of what would happen at my current size made the decision final for me. I wish you great sucess on the ATKINS, i know it can work. I still eat very similar to atkins now but with my new tool i get full and satsfied so it helps me alot.
THis isnt an option for everyone just seemed to be right for me when i did it.
THANKS for the support from everyone!
LISA
