  • It pays to just keep at it

In trying not to get discouraged.. I have been the lurker recently when time permits. Lack of time can be a killer and ruin those motivating moments of wondering around the boards.

However, today I hit 249! That is down 76 lbs since I started in January!!!!! I am very excited as I am closer to 200 than 300 for the first time in 8 years. Although it has been creeping off, this is a kick my butt in gear moment now. 249 was a 4th of july goal that I didn't make (at least at that time).

I know weight isn't always whats going on because recently shorts I bought that were tighter are now very loose even with the scale inching ever so slowly down. However, that weight thing every Monday morning can sure be a downer some days.

And -- even better! Shopping Saturday I picked up a size 20 pair of jeans, thinking "they are so cute and I will be able to wear these soon!".. Got home, tried them on.. and they aren't even snug!!! Be a size 18 soon!!!!! OMG I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep up the positive attitude! 76lbs is extremely impressive and very inspirational!!!!! Careful how much clothes you buy! You'll be shrinking out of them before you have a chance to wear them!

        Thank you!

But I do love clothes.. so today instead of buying clothes for making my goal. I bought wooden hangers, which I have always wanted. Weird I know, but it is the simple things in life.

It's good advice, just keeping at it! Just put one foot in front of another and it will eventually pay off . When I start to get overwhelmed by how much I have to lose, I just think "it doesn't matter how much I stress, just as long as I exercise and don't stray, I will get results". So far so good anyway.

You are doing so well, 76 pounds in 9 months, holly cow! Keep at it, one day you'll blink and be at goal wondering hmmm, how did that happen?

            Great job.
