  • Hi, remember me?

Hi everyone. I don't know if you remember me or not. Pretty much about the time the board switched over is when I stopped posting. We were having some financial issues, and DH and I decided that we could not keep up with the cost of eating the low carb way. I know many of you hate that excuse, but I literally was feeding my family on $50 a week, so not much wiggle room.

Feeling disgusted with myself tonight I weighed myself... I have gained 30 lbs in 2 months. I didn't even know that was possible. I am feeling just about as low as a person can. I feel terrible, I look horrible. My energy is in the toilet.

I have some pepperoni in the freezer left from a huge sack I bought earlier this year, and I have it laid out. Tomorrow I'm getting back on the wagon.

30 lbs in 2 months? WTF?? I know for a fact I am prementral, so I know some of that is water, but still. You know, I've been able to buy tons of food inexpensively this last couple of months, but I think I have paid a higher price in the long run.

I hope you'll have me back.

    Re: Hi, remember me?

HEY! I was just thinking about you today!!! I gained 37 pounds in 3 months, so we're in the same boat! Still, we're lovable, scrappy, and don't have much in the way of unwanted body hair.

    So woohoo!

    Welcome home!

Oh Joanne, it's so good to talk to you again. Thank you so much. Gawd I feel like an idiot, but we WILL get there w/ Ms Cleo along for entertainment. I've really missed this board, but I felt unworthy to post as long as I was not sticking with the program. I love you all!

Hey there welcome back. it's hard to stick sometimes when the budget falls short. You'll drop that extra 30 pounds of water in no time I'm sure. Glad to see you posting again.

I know for a fact I am prementral, so I know some of that is water, but still.
now that cracked me up, whether it was meant or not. Sometimes I do feel "pre-mentral" before my period too!

                          Re: Hi, remember me?

Welcome back. I am just coming back myself. I have been doing Atkis for more than 1 1/2 years but never did it properly. Didn't follow the rungs and stuff and cheated here and there. Not a lot though. I lost almost 35 lbs in the first 3-4 monbths and then stayed around the same for more than a year even though I wanted to lose maybe 10 more pounds. I am up about 8 pounds from my lowest weight so I would like to lose about 15 pounds. I hope I can get that gung ho feeling going again.

I never really went away, just had a few diet setbacks. Was always reading the forums. Just never was a big poster.
