As alot of you know I live in Humble,Texas just a hop skip and jump away from Houston. I have watched the bus loads come here to try and gather some meaning to this crazy mess. The highways are covered in Louisiana plates. There was a lady walking around with a baby in a grocery buggy he may have been two he looked dead he has blisters on his head and lips and was so ill he was just looking like a rag doll. His Mom was begging for someone to take him in so he could get the help he needed. She was willing to sacrifice her parental rights just to get the baby help. The temprature here is in the 90s. You see if the refugees got out and came here on their own they are being turned away. FEMA and RED Cross have a lot to learn still. There are so many scam artist and theives we are told not to go downtown on our own. It is like Houston has turned into a refugee camp. Mind you we already have our homeless and mentally ill that are placed on the streets from mental hospitals. Gee our jails are located in Downtown Houston (just blocks away from the George R. Brown) and when they are released they are on the streets too by the way Harris County jail releases their prisoners between 1 and 4 AM so you must use caution. So now if you are downtown trying to help you need to be extremely careful. There were some of the displaced people at church Sunday and they asked us not to look down on them because of the way some NO residents were being on TV. They were there to praise God! Even though they had nothing but one suit of clothes each they were Thanking God! Talk about faith! They never pointed the blame in any direction they said it was a test and those that grew from this were the survivors. But did we forget Mississippi and other towns were hit too ??? Who is helping them?
