I have been really missing all of my Angels. It was so nice being able to post and chat it up with you guys on daily basis. We definatly had the mostly fun and lively group, I miss it. I see a few of you around here every once in a while but let's have a true check up.

How are you Angels? What have you done these last few months? Is everyone still here and legal?

    Re: Calling all Angels

I'm glad you started this thread. I miss having a place for us Angels to hang out. I'm not sure how many of us are left. Of course Cleo.. and Lauren and Sidrah. Who am I leaving out? We were a chatty little bunch. haha Remember when our thread was like 3 times as big as any of the other teams?

I've been off and on the last couple of months. Now I'm ON, baby! I FINALLY started exercising, like I should have been all along. This is the longest I've been on ANY diet plan in my life! Even tho I've had my little slip ups and wasted this summer.

Like I said in your journal.. you rock girl! I'm so excited for you! You're doing so well!

    Let's hear it Angels!!!!

      Re: Calling all Angels

      Hi all,
I keep meaning to start this kind up thing up again...glad you did it!

School just re-started a month ago and it is crazy. Too much to bore you guys with, but special ed., new lawsuits, and quitting special ed teachers is leading me on a slow road to insanity.

Just watching Leno, now. Funny joke about teachers starting up school again and they are all excited cause some teachers haven't had sex since June! HA

I have no time at all to prep food the night before and it is my downfall. I am trying to hard to get the new exercise bike set up and the bedroom cleaned up to put it in there. I have this "B" of a teacher and she is so aggravating. She is making my free time almost non-existent. Cannot wait till I am like some of these after pictures I am seeing. Color me jealous!

Yoly-doing so good! You look so much younger in the new picture.

ChixRule- Same sense of humor I look forward to restoring my sanity and now a face to put with it!

Will check in manana. You guys, too, I hope! Ciao

        Re: Calling all Angels

I am here, I was thinking of the angels the other day also. So cool. We still can have a thread if you would like. I sure could ude some accountability. Sidrah, I cant tell from your post exactly what ou do. I am the principal/teacher of a tiny Christian School. I understand teachers making you crazy. Some of my young kids are more mature then some of my teachers.

I found this signature avatar the other day, and it threw me right into nostalgia mode... complete with the wackachicka "Angels" music!

I miss the team so much I'd love to start a new challenge to take us all to the New Year's with our old teams. Wouldn't that be loverly?

At any rate, day dreaming aside, here is our glorious roll of our glamorous girls... kicking carbs and taking names, all in the spirit of thinner thighs!

Everyone knows I fell off the wagon and gained over 40 pounds. I'm working hard to get that weight off so that I can, again, be in Virgin weight territory! My goal is to hit onederland by December 31. I know I can do this! I've been putzing around for too long.

{{{Sidrah}}} It is so good to see you again!

{{{Chix}}} Helps keep me on the straight and narrow. She and I have a special happy place since we were always a team within a team!

{{{Yoly}}} I'm proud of your amazing success! Even without the Angels you've really gone for it, and I just read you're back in your skinny pants! Way to go, girl!

            Re: Calling all Angels

I am so glad you guys are all here, I have missed you all terribly. We should come up with some sort of challenge until the New Year, I find that they really keep me accountable. Let's brainstorm on it and think up of things that we're having trouble with and pool our ideas into a great big challenge for the greater good, what do you guys think?

As for me, I'm sure that you guys have seen me on here. I have been working really hard lately. I don't know what was wrong with me but I got to the point where I was only losing a pound or two a month. I got lazy and compliant I guess. I started eating the LC goodies, like the chocolate and ice cream and even though I was excercising it wasn't as much as I should have been doing. Basically I was sabotaging my success. I went this way until I got to 196. Then I realized that being thin was actually possible. I couldn't believe it, I might actually make it to that unreachable goal that I laughingly put in my siggy on the first day here. My birthday came around and even though I didn't cheat food wise I went out and drank way too much, kicked myself right out of kitoisis and out of Onderland. I was so miserable, I hated myself. I decided that it was time to recommit, dedicate myself and work hard towards my goal. So that's what I have been doing, working hard, kicking butt (mainly my own).

I know for a fact that I have lost weight, I just haven't weighed myself since the 6th of last month and will do so on the 10th. I am kind of nervous but I have faith in the program. I have been doing everything right and I know the scale will show that. And even if it doesn't I have to remember things like fitting into my skinny pants and being able to get stuff on that a month ago wouldn't have fit.

              Re: Calling all Angels

If you want to shoot for a New Year's Goal,
Click on my signature line for my Mid-Year Resolution Challenge, and you are welcome to join!

A little history: I started the challenge myself before I ever found ADBB, when one July I said to myself, "It's already after June and we're headed towards another New Year with me being fat, tired and depressed."

It was then I decided that rather than continue doing what I always did (start on New Year's, only to give up in a week), I was going to start a new tradition! I was going to hit a goal BY New Year's, so that my New Year would be an exciting time and not one of regret!

And guess what... I lost 55 pounds the first three months of that challenge to myself. Within 7 months, I was already 100 pounds down.

Again, I say that to anyone who wants to hit a goal BY New Year's, who wants to learn how to get through the holidays without food being the main premise, who seeks to remove self-sabotage and hit December 31 at a happier, thinner, healthier you, please click my link and sign up.

              Everyone is welcome!

                Re: Calling all Angels

                Lauren,
I'm a special ed. teacher at a public school (high scool). I have resource classes in math and LA. I am also dept. head, but they forget to realize I always was given a stipend for it. So, my complaints pretty much come from all the sped teachers who are quitting and I am picking up their jobs. New sped director said I should do it "for the love of the kids" . Love is one thing....13 hour days at school are another. I am working on my PhD at night, so I rarely have time to do my own added jobs much less those of 3 who quit.

Cleo---starting a new challenge is just the ticket. I need 5 minutes to plan it all out, but otherwise, I can do it. We all should..might be fun.

Okay, phone ringing. more to come

                  Re: Calling all Angels

Hey Angels, great news, I bought a pair of Levi's yesterday in a size 14! The last time I wore a size 14 was back in high school. I can't believe that I could go and pick up a pair of jeans at Target and that they only cost 20 bucks. Usually jeans for me come from Lane Bryant, cost about 40 and last about 3 months because they are inferiorly made. Yippy Skippy!

That is good. I am sure you are gonna save sooo much money on pants, now. I was in Catherine's over the summer and they wanted almost 40 bucks a pair (ON SALE!). I said NO.

                    Cool for you
