Ok, here goes, will try and keep up, might be offline here and there for the next day or so

woo hoo me first. If you could change one thing about the Atkins plan and it would magically still work with your change what would you change and why?
I've been dying to answer this question, cause I hope someone will make it come true one day! I would replace all the bad starchy carbs in potatoes and fill them with all the good veggie nutrients. Cause I love potatoes, even more than bread, pasta and sweets and I miss them. French fries, baked potatoes, hash browns, potato soup.... sigh.

If you were going to be dropped off on a deserted island and could only bring three music cd's, what would they be and why?
Hmmmmm.... Billy Joel's greatest hits (love Billy Joel!), Moody Blues greatest hits (same) and Jimmy Buffett's greatest hits, cause I'd need some good beach music! I'd better hope to have my IPOD and a solar charger instead however! Oh, and my laptop with satellite dish....

What has been the best thing that's happened to you since starting Atkins?
Hmmm just one? Well, I'd say the best thing is just finding a diet that not only works, but has changed my lifestyle forever. And trust me, that's quite a miracle. I think the second best would be giving away clothes because they are *too big* for the first time ever.

What food are you so sick of you could scream?
It would be a tie between lettuce and eggs. I really don't like eggs much but they are quick and easy, filling and cheap and get the job done. Lettuce because I end up eating alot of salads on the go and it gets soooo boring and tasteless after a while (pass the dressing please!)

Do you have any strange allergies and what are they (if any)?

What is the last thing you finished reading? Reading now? Going to read?
I have this bad habit of having several books I'm reading at once. The last entire book I finished was Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I am workign on re-readin "A Game of Thrones" by George RR Martin, who's next book in the series comes out this fall. I have a bunch of books waiting to be read/finished, including Tommy Franks "An American Soldier" and trying to finish re-reading the Lord of the Rings again.

What kind of movies do you prefer?
                  Action/adventure/sci-fi/fantasy/good Oscar winning dramas

                  What is your favorite movie?
The Lord of the Rings (all over them)

How would you describe your personal style?
Dress style? Well, because of my fibro, clothes can be annoying and painful, so I go extremely casual and wear comfy tops and jeans (hey I can now wear decent jeans), and tennis shoes. At home, I usually am in my nightgown because that's most comfy to wear.

What is your favorite veggie, and a recipe please.
Favorite veggie - POTATO. But Atkins veggie... green beans

Ok recipe. This is very simple to make, induction friendly if you watch the carbs and get good sausage. I ate this on induction alot and its very filling. I don't have any actual measurements, I always just did the whole taste and guess thing

Sausage and Cabbage (makes 2-4 servings):
1 polish kielbasa/sausage big link (lowest carb, good quality if you can find it)
1/2 to 1 bag cole slaw cabbage (or real cabbage, I get the cole slaw ones without the carrot since it's quick)
                  Olive Oil
                  Oregano
                  Onion or onion powder
Various spices (whatever you like, I usually added white pepper, maybe some garlic and season salt)

Slice up the the sausage into bite size pieces and pan fry in olive oil until cooked, drain if needed. Toss on the cabbage, oregano, onion, spices and mix. Cover and stir occasionally over medium heat until the cabbage is cooked down and tender.

Mmmm am all hungry for this now and I don't have the supplies.

                    More questions!

Where would you go on a dream vacation?
Either Ireland or a long cruise around the Carribbean

Do you have any strange allergies and what are they (if any)?
Not that unusual, I am allergic to bee stings, shellfish/alot of regular fish (don't know why), and high doses of citric acid/ Vitamin C (mostly grown out of this, but oranges, etc used to give me hives as a child)

If you could have one 'super power' what would it be?
                    Flying

Who was the first person who noticed that you were losing weight?
I can't remember for certain, but my best friend as well as my massage therapist who really can see the difference happening.

Do you have any household pets and what are their names?
I have two cats, Bizzy (her real name was Isabeau, but she always has that look of being "busy" so that name stuck) and Alix.

                    What's under your bed?
hah I had to go check, but the only thing under there is one of those Superstep things for exercising that I havent' used in years. Other than that, dust bunnies!

If you could live any place in the world (money wouldn't be an issue) where would it be and why?
I think I'd do better with several places to live, an island of my own, a cabin in the mountains, and a place with a beautiful change of seasons where I could visit each when I wanted. Now if I could find a place that had all three, that would rock. I'm more content living in the good U.S. of A. however New Zealand seems really beautiful and might be my second choice.

What is your next mini-goal and what's the reward?
I am hoping to make 100 lbs total loss by the end of the year. (that's about 11 lbs). It's rather hard for me to make/meet goals by X date since my weight loss is slow and has a mind of its own, so it's not really a matter of not cheating and exercising as it might be for others. I'm just letting things happen as they do and am really glad if I meet my estimate dates, but not too hard on myself if I don't, since I am not cheating which would affect it.

                          What's your favorite Atkins breakfast?
A western omelet (ham, peppers, cheese, mushrooms) with salsa, with tomato slices on the side.

How often do you family and friends compliment you on your weight loss?
Every time they see me! They've seen me at my worst and now, the best I've been in years. And it's not just the weight loss, but the energy levels, my skin, my confidence, etc. I think my weight lifting is helping too.

What's your favorite type/breed of cat?
I love calicos cats and tuxedos. Just your average domestic is fine, as there are tons of cats (and dogs) in shelters that need homes that I don't think I'd ever want a pure breed.

Who're your favorite actor and actress?
Tom Hanks, Nicole Kidman. They both can do whatever role/part they want and do it top notch.

Yes, waiting for years! I've been re-reading the first 3 over the last year or so.

"A Feast for Crows" does come out November 8 in the U.S. It's on his website:

He had to split the book up in two due to length, so hopefuly the next one will come out not too long after this one.

If anyone is look for good fantasy, on the quality level of Tolkien (but different) check out this series called "A Song of Ice and Fire".
