of the writer's league. Yeah!!!! I had the conference this past weekend. It went very well. I was pleasantly surprised. I gave my speeches and didn't even think twice about standing in front of everyone and talking. It amazes me that I used to only think of my weight...and now it isn't an issue. I'm mostly concerned that what I am saying is appropriate and sounds professional.

I didn't wear the size 12 dress that I bought. The lady who took over as President wore pants, so I wore a nice dress pant outfit that I had. Everyone was complimenting me and one lady walking behind me down the hall said "OMG, your butt is getting so tiny!" I could have turned around and hugged her!! lolol

I met some very well known authors, editors and agents in the literary field and didn't once feel that I was not worthy of talking to them. I had a great time!! I love Atkins and wish I could meet Dr. Atkins in person and thank him!!

WOW thats so awesome! GLAD that even turned out wonderful and you spoke
with the full confidence. I can fully relate to how the weight effects my self confidence.
YOUR such a great careing person, it even shows in how you changed your outfit plans to meet someone else around you.

wow first I need to recover from my imagination that you were stopping being a mod in CC.

Okay now I'm so happy for you and so proud of your growth as a person in this past yr. I remember your posts about your fear of taking the posisiton and then dealing with public speaking, the conference troubles and now to read your statements about all you accomplished and how you feel about it just warms my heart ( it needed it after you scared me).
