oh FRIENDLY! NEVER FEEL YOU DON'T BELONG!!! You are one of the most sweet, caring, supportive people, and we do miss you! Congrats on the BIG time weight loss, and for your success. I watched a show about a lady who had the surgery done, and she lost 120! She looked so good! I bet you're looking absolutely fantastic!
THANKS MARION! I am sure in good time ill look better right now i still see
an overweight me! I know just 2.5 years ago i was at these numbers but when i drop about another 8 lbs im my lowest numbers in a long time. I lost before i got pregnant
with joshua....and at that time i was very close to onederland but didnt get there this
time i hope to.
THANKS for the kind support.
HOW are you doing????
Doing great! Just got the best kind of news from my doc yesterday. 20 more pounds down, and she's going to put me back on metformin. My cycle seems to be regulating, and she thinks I'll be able to achieve my dream of more babies with no further problems.
Also I found out my scale is 10 pounds off, so I actually made it down below 300 a few weeks ago. Now I'm only 6 pounds away. I'm so looking forward to these things! And you know what, those "fat goggles" will come off. Just keep on being strong.
...and one more thing....i was gonna put up a thread when i got my next 9 lbs down when i made 100 lbs gone. I have been here welcomeing newbees, sending kind prayers and words when needed to our club memebers thanks for makeing me feel welcomed
as always guys! so i promise to keep posting! (((HUG))))))
Lisa, can I ask how many calories you eat per day? Is your doctor at all concerned about your body going into starvation mode due to such an inability to digest your food, or is that the whole point of the surgery?
I'm not asking to be a weisenheimer, but I do believe caloric restriction works on this WOE. I'm looking for validation from the point of view of someone who's had gastric bypass.
CLeochatra...i really love the questions and I like to answer any and all questions. Were all in the same boat with 100 plus to loose at one point.
I dont intake many calories right now i probably average between 600 - 800
calories a day once in a while less if i have a bad day. With the bypass surgery
(based on my surgeon) the first year to eighteen months are my optimum looseing time months. It varies slightly in people and even how much weight they need to loose......but usually in this time the body is confused by the surgery a bit so i dont get into a starvation mode. AFTER the 12 to 18 months
the weight will come off slower, my appetitie will be bigger and i might have issues of
starvation and the body holding on to every pound. BUT by that point a weight
loss surgery patient has lost so much weight they can handle it from this point, and usually were told to up the protein as much as possible to continue to loose.
I am not sure if i helped in your question if not let me know!
RIGHT now im in that optimum looseing window and i do go thru weeks i loose alot and other weeks were i loose a little but the inches comes down....so it fluctuates alot like what I had when doing atkins....i get whooshies and i get days with not much losses. I think thats just our bodies. THe only thing i havent figured out from now and when i did atkins....is i dont bloat up 5 lbs before my TOM now like i did when on atkins and watching my weight daily.
I am not sure why that is but i dont mind it at all.
TAKE care and so glad your back on your atkins as you did so awesome with it and your posting. MOVEING is a hard time for parents! So its understandable.
