Today is a good day. Gabrielle looks fabulous, she looks like she should look. It's amazing what 48 hours can do. She's eating well, so they removed the feeding tube. And she's almost off the oxygen. She's still in the NICU but she's in a regular crib now, too. The nurse practitioner who was on Wednesday when we went up to the NICU, couldn't believe how much better she looked. This nurse really thought they were gonna have to put Gabrielle ona ventilator. But the little bugger kept fighting and breathing so they didn't have too, thankfully.
I talked to the urologist and the surgery (if necessary) is 99% effective and she will lead a totally normal life. There is no evidence of any kidney damage because we caught it so early. The test which they will probably do on Monday will tell them a lot.
