Update on my baby (Tuesday 27th)

Well Gabrielle is out of the NICU as of yesterday afternoon. She had a test today to determine the level of reflux in her kidneys and she has it in both but more severe in her left. She does have some kidney damage in her left kidney and they will do a test tomorrow to find out how much.

Her surgery will be anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months and it will either be one of two procedures. The surgeon will make the call for both when and what. But they want her a little bigger and stronger first. She'll be on a low dose antibiotic until the surgery, to keep her "clean" (infection free).

It looks like she'll be coming home (again) either Thursday night or Friday morning.

I'll be praying for your family, I am so sorry that this happened. Having a sick baby is just about the most difficult thing that I can imagine. Stay strong, I know your baby girl will get through this fine.

Thanks for the Update We are all Praying for her to get through all of this stuff and be a strong little girl if she's anything like me she'll be great I'm stubborn as ****. LOL

Jim, Gabrielle is on our church prayer list and will stay there until she's home from surgery (whenever that happens to be) so glad to hear that she's getting to come home and you and tricia will get back to a more normal routine at home. this has got to have been a rough week plus for you two. {{HUGS}}

Well, although I'm happy for you that your baby is out of the NICU, I'm sorry she's still having complications! I'll keep praying till that surgery is done, and she's as healthy as can be!
