    Gabrielle is back in the hospital (10/11)

    Well after being home for four days, we had to bring Gabrielle into the ER at Children's Hospital again yesterday. She has another infection, hopefully this one hasn't gone too far into her system. This could affect her surgery scheduled for next week. We're having trouble keeping her healthy enough to have the surgery which will keep her healthy. How ironic, big time catch-22.

    At least she's nowhere near as sick as she was last time. My wife caught this one immediately.


    UPDATE: She is septic again, the blood cultures came back positive. But her spinal fluid is ok. SO another minimum two weeks hospitalized again.

    I'm sorry to hear about your daughter being sick again. Good thoughts and prayers are coming her way.

      What a good mother!!!! My prayers are for your family. I hope you're allowed to visit her often as there are many studies out there that babies' immune systems tend to improve when they're able to get at least 1/2 hr of good snugglin' each day from mom & dad. Hang in there!!!

          I hope she gets better soon. I am sorry to hear about your little one. We will keep her in our prayers.

            OH Jim...so sorry! I'll have to double up on those prayers. How are you and your wife doing? Its gotta be tough!

                  I can't imagine how nerve wracking this must be for you both. I wish your baby a speedy recovery. You'll be in my thoughts!

                          I am thinking of you, your family and your precious little girl and wish you all well at this difficult time. She has been through a lot but I know from your posts that she is a fighter. My prayers are with you. Please keep us updated.
