    I feel so blessed...

You know they told us that my 27 year old son-in-law was told he had a brain tumor and it was in Pons area of the brain which is supposed to be the only area that cannot be operated on.

Well, we have received a miracle. He had some extensive tests done by two neurosurgeons, a stroke specialist and some brain doctor and they have concluded that it is not a tumor. They said that he had a massive stroke. He has lost his short-term memory. Now we will begin working on taking care of him that he doesn't have another stroke, but of all the things they were saying it might be (tumor) (Severe MS) or (stroke)....we got the lesser of the evils. I don't know when I've felt so happy before.

I thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes.

Sorry to hear about the stroke but very glad to hear it's not cancer or anything more serious!!!! Will he be able to re-gain his short term memory again? (((hugs)))

            Re: I feel so blessed...

What I know so far is that he is having surgery tomorrow morning...they are going to put dye into his groin and shoot it up to his brain and check on something. He is also going to start getting shots in his stomach every day. He is on blood thinners and he is having migraine headaches.

We are so happy it isn't a tumor or MS, but realize that he is going to have to take medication and be very careful so he doesn't have another stroke.

Continuing prayers Becky. You and your family have a long road still, but the outcome is so much brighter. Thank goodness it's the lesser of the possibilities.

Becky, I'll keep him in my thoughts. Though having NONE of this happen is preferable, at least he as the lesser of the evils.
