    Gabrielle has her procedure (surgery) tomorrow

    Well Gabrielle is still in the hospital. But she is doing well. She has her procedure tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM. It's surgery with no cutting (they go in with a catheter), but she will go under general anesthesia, which scares the crap out of me. There is some discrepancy in how much longer she will be in, it could be anywhere from 3 to ten more days. All the different departments (medical/urology/infectious disease) haven't come to a consensus yet. Ten more days will just about kill us. She's five weeks old today and has been home for a grand total of 6 days (all added together).

    I have to go back to work on Monday or I will start missing mortgage payments and that's not good. There are two parts of taking care of your family, taking care of them and providing for them. And you can't do one if you don't do the other.

    Aidan's test went well, he's the only other one that had similar issues to Gabrielle's in utero. He has some urinary reflux but barely enough to categorize it at the lowest level. The doctor who did the test said that since Aidan had never been sick he would classify the results as normal. So that's our first bit of good news in a while.

    Thanks, everyone, for thinking of us. And tomorrow I'll update when I get a chance after the surgery.

              Well, I'm off to the hospital. I want to see her before she goes in. DW is already there, she stayed last night. I'm amazed I've been able to get her to come home as much as she has.

              Womanpraised - Surgery is about a half hour to an hour. They are also going to put a picline in while she's under. They weren't able to get one in last week, and if she's gonna be in for another ten days then it makes sense. Plus it'll be easier to get her meds and she won't have to keep getting new IV's.
