Re: Dr. talks friend out of Atkins WOE

I was prepared when I went to my Dr. after being on Atkins for a month or 2. He ruined my attack plans when he agreed on the WOE. He said since all bodies are different, what works for one doesn't for another and so on, so if Atkins was working for me, he was happy to support it. My mom, who is a nurse, recently saw her Dr. Due to back issues, he recommended she lose weight. She told him about my success on Atkins and he supported her starting it as well. He said generally when a family member does well on a certain diet that you would as well.

And, I agree w/ the comments maybe she wasn't ready. I went into my Dr for the bloodwork but was fully ready to ignore whatever else he told me. I know my body and my body and mind were feeling a ton better than they had felt in a long time. So, ready for battle with information from here I would have said my peace of mind and then moved on and continued Atkins regardless of his opinion
