Two weeks ago, my husband decided to quit smoking. I was beside myself with joy and he is doing fantastic.
We had a conversation this week that finally made my weight loss issue click for him. He came home and told me that everywhere he goes (he's a trucker)...the guys he used to smoke with are treating him like a freak cause he doesn't smoke with them anymore. He said they know he quit, and they still ask him if he wants a cig and they will make dumb remarks about smokers vs non-smokers.
I listened then...I told him, yeah thats how I feel when you ask me if I want a candy bar or try to get me to take a bite of food that you know I no longer eat. He thought about it and then he said he was sorry. He said he never realized that he was putting me through that and he finally understands.
