  • Vegetable Soup

    Does this sound ok to eat. My wife made me some soup yesterday, well acutally its in the crock pot and still cooking.. but anyways here is whats in it.

    6 cans Progresso Beef broth 2g carb per serving, 2 servings per can
    cabbage
    broccoli
    cauliflower
    squash
    zuchini
    celery

    This is a big batch of soup so obvisouly i woundt be eating it in one sitting.

    If all the ingredients are legal, then the soup is legal. I agree with Kim...calculate how much you're getting so that you don't go over on your veggie allotment. Otherwise...enjoy!!

      the easiest way to figure it is calculate the volume of your pot and the total amount of carbs in the pot. then figure on average the amount of carbs you are willing to accept per serving like say it has 30 and hass 100 ounces so it ould have .3 carbs per ounce. you are willing to have 3 carbs a serving so your servings are 10 ounces each. Be sure you don't scoop out all the veggies in the beginning servings and have only brooth for the last few servings and you will do fine.
      one thing you need to be aware of is even if the total carbs for your selected serving are set you need to be sure your picked serving size doesn't exced your one cup veggie limit either.

        With fall here this sounds so good. I don't know why, but I hadn't thought about making a beef vegetable soup. Another reason why it is good to read these threads daily. I know it is the secret to my success so far.
