I chose the Atkins plan through ediets.com and I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with them. If so, how does it compare?

Re: Anyone using ediets.com?
In all honesty, I know they charge money what you, yourself, could get for pretty close to free. Or free.
fitday.com offers you a free place to log all your foods, exercise and weight goals.
The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution you can buy at amazon.com, used, for as little as a penny!
And, as always, our support, understanding, and hopes for a thinner and healthier tomorrow are free. No obligations.

Re: Anyone using ediets.com?
Well, a few years ago I was right in the thick of Atkins eating. Fell out and off the wagon and need to get my life and eating back in control. My daughter, 15, was wanting to lose as well so I checked them out and was going to do the Glycemic Index. However, I just love the Atkins way so much, I didn't stick with the GI. I had already paid and it covers for the first 3 months. So, I'm pretty much stuck with it. One great thing I love about it is it gives me my weekly menus along with a shopping list of ingredients that I will need for that week. If there is a certain meal I do not care for, I can change it. This has helped me quite a bit because before I got very tired of eating a lot of the same type of foods/recipes. It is just my daughter and I and she is a very picky eater...unless it's something with LOTS of carbs. Ediets has given me new ways of preparing foods. My daughter isn't always excited about the new dishes, but at least I'm trying to expand my food boundaries. I guess she probably got a lot of her pickiness from me. I do like fitday better than the nutrition tracker at ediets.
My main worry was it seems ediets puts in the various Atkins foods. Due to time constraints in the morning, AND evening, I have used the breakfast bars or shakes. I have the Atkins book...somewhere (I'm trying to find it, but just moved a few months ago and haven't finished unpacking all the stuff). I'm really curious as to how these products help or hurt.

Re: Anyone using ediets.com?
I've tried ediets once and thought it was great if you kind of need an A-Z type meal planning arrangement, like I do. I used my membership to copy and download everything I wanted so I didn't have to renew

Re: Anyone using ediets.com?
LOL Slim I did that too, copied my meal plans then didnt renew. Till two years later and then decided to do Atkins.I guess i came off sounding down on Ediets and im not. I really liked the meal plans and the wiegh in and stuff when i was doing the Ediets plan. It does have lots of extras. But as far as the Atkins plan on there Im not as happy with it.But good luck to you in your wieght loss journey
