  • My new friend - the egg cooker

I just bought this and it is SO COOL. It cooks hard boiled, soft, medium, or poached sooooo easily and effortlessly. They come out with perfect consistency and taste!! I kept wanting to cook eggs all day!!

Just thought i would share my new atkins treasure with everyone!

What a posh looking one too, Mary!!
Mine looks cheap and plastic-y compared to yours - I am envious!!

They are a great addition to the kitchen and make it so easy to boil up a few day's worth of eggs that I use mine regularly.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Oooh, I LOVE my egg cooker! The only problem with me is that it brings back memories of one of my childhood comfort foods...which involved toast. I do so love to just crack the eggs in half though and scoop out the inside though. YUM!

That's the problem - how can you eat boiled eggs without soldiers?

Soldiers? Fingers of toast to dip into the egg yolk.

(My wife says we are an officer household and we eat "Subalterns", not "Soldiers".)

        Subaltern? A very junior Officer.
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
        he said, 'Don't count calories.'

I've never done the "soldier" thing - do you use soft eggs for that? I usually eat hard boiled or poached.

I eat hard boiled eggs just plain, sometimes with a little grey poupon. I also make devilled eggs out of them - I tend to eat too many of them when I do that though, or a modified potato salad, or I cut them up and put them in my salads. i'm sure there are more possibilities, i jusst tend to stick to the things I'm familiar with

Great idea, Elizellen...I really miss poached eggs on toast...and that would work perfectly!
