    Hi to all from Oz!
    I started a new job on 09 Septemeber and ATkins the next day. Lost 11 kgs (24 1/2lbs), and in total over 8 weeks 16 kgs.

    Joined the gym this week, I get there at 0530 each morning before work (good thing I'm a farm girl and an early riser), and while my legs are aching, I feel great, I haven' had this much energy for 10 years.

    I put on a lot of weight after an injury to both Achilles tendons at Christmas time 1996. Had it operated on 2 years later but the damage was done. My former weight control method was walking 8 miles or so a day - now I can't do that, the ankles hurt too much.

    But I can stick to this - I've given up evil junk food and my big vice, potato crisps, am eating like a horse and never hungry. MY goal is 60kgs, but I may find 61 or 62 is right, I have no idea what I'll look like at that weight - just have to wait and see. My tentative goal (at a rate of 1kg per week) is June 2006.

    Congrats on starting and welcome to the club! You've passed the first test of membership, YOU POSTED HERE! LOL!! Sounds like you're off to a fabulous start!

      F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
