I've probably already told you this, so if you've heard it before, forgive me.
I'm a long-time fan of the Stones. I haven't seen them in concert for over 30 years. (money, raising kids, out of country, and for a long while I'd lost my spark). NOW< I am back and going to a concert on the 22nd of NOVEMBER. WHOOOPPPPEEEE.
I told my husband over a year ago that I was going to see the Stones as a reward if I lost 100 pounds. I know he thought he'd never have to go...cause he don't like them and the tickets are expensive. Well, they are finally coming to my town and I have ROW 3A and 3B!!! WOW, I am practically on stage with them. lolol
I know some of you probably don't like them...but their music has impacted my life tremendously over the years. There are some songs that take me back years and years. I am taken back to events that were occuring when they those songs first hit the charts. I heard a song on GLOBE (sirrus radio) that was eons old and it took me back to a time in my teens that I had lay on my bed and cried all evening because of a boy. Hearing that song again brought back all those memories. Strange...how songs can do that.
Also, when I play some of my CD's or cassettes...I remember happy events and what I was doing when I first heard the songs. I remember an old 8-track of theirs that I played until it slowed down and you couldn't even hear the words or music anymore. I didn't throw it away until I could find the same track on a cassette.
Anyways, its my reward and just know that on NOVEMBER 22nd, there will be a very happy Atkineer running around SLC and screaming like a teeny bop again.
"Its only rock n roll, but I love it, yes I do!!" You don't know how many exercises I've done to their music. So, in a way...they have contributed to my weight loss.
