  • Announcing....the Thankfullness Thread

    Okay ya'll...

Reading Becky's post has put me in a spirit of thankfulness. So...between now and Thanksgiving, let's have a veryyyy lonnnnnnng thread in which we all list what we're thankful for. Whatya think??

I'll start off. I'm sure I'll add more as the weeks pass, but here are my biggest ones:

    1) I'm soooo thankful that Christopher is in my life and is back from deployment. He truly is the other half of me, and I'm very lucky to have him. (BTW....he started Atkins today and should be posting on the board soon!)

    2) I'm thankful for my son Nicholas. He's brilliant and wacky and life with him is never never dull. And he's just so cute I want to hug him forever!!!

    3) I'm thankful that I have a job that I love so much and that I'm good at.

    Who's next???

    ~JoAnne

    Great thread JoAnne!!

    1) I am thankful for my husband and my children and grandkids. They are so special to me and make my life worth living.

    2) I am thankful for my friends here in the ADBB and all the support I've received. (More than any of you will ever know).

    3) I am thankful for the kids at the Developemnt center that I work with. They brighten my life and give me hours of smiles and laughter. I'm so happy to be able to watch and participate in helping them grow and learn.

    4) I am thankful for our country and the people who serve in all levels to make it safer. Although it is not perfect, it is by far better than many other countries where people live 24/7 in fear, starvation and suffering.

      Ok here goes.

      1) I am thankful that my wife and daughter are in my life. Life would be cold and pointless without them.

      2) I am thankful for the support of all my family. I am not an easy person to live with, but they do it without complaint.

      3) I am thankful for our nation's soldiers, and I hope you guys can come home to us soon.

      4) I am thankful for those who created and those who maintain the ADBB as well as all its members. This change in my life would be impossible without your support.

        Yes! Great Thread, JoAnne!

        1. I am thankful for my dear husband, daughter, SIL, two little grandsons and my mom. They love me unconditional, as I love them back.

Let's see, what do I have to be thankful for? The list is way too long to put down. But, here are a few of the most important.

          1. I'm thankful for my love, my soulmate, my partner in life JoAnne. She is the part of me that I have been missing all these years.

          2. I'm thankful for each day that I wake up to a new adventure in life.

          3. I'm thankful for a wonderful, free country to serve.

          4. I'm thankful for family and friends. They drive me carzy sometimes, but I love them.

Oh..and I'm very very thankful for this board!!! It's still the most friendly and wacky place on the 'net...and with the best Atkins info to boot. Ya'll mean more to me than I can say.

and I'm thankful for Altoids sugar-free cinnamon gum.

              and incense and sage

              and candles

and vanilla-scented everything. Well...maybe not that yucky vanilla toothpaste. That's just weird. But then again, that's vanilla flavored and not scented...

and my favorite place in the whole wide world, Northern Arizona

Oh...and right now I'm thankful that I only have to work until 1pm today, and that I'm off tomorrow for Veteran's day!!!!

                    I am thankful for:
                    1. My family--my mom, dad, 2 sisters, Josh, my sister-in-law (Rachel) and my niece Kelsy.

                    2. I am thankful for this board. I could not do this without people like Cleo, Brook, Shelly, Rikki and many others.

                    3. I am thankful I live in a country that takes up for other places and the servicemembers who give up their freedom to protect mine.

                    5. I am thankful for being alive today.
