The Jokes on me

Today I found out a joke about me. I'm not offended, In fact, I find it kind of funny. I have a friend and their spouse that are doing Atkins. I guess when they are tempted to cheat, they immediately ask each other, "What would Becky do?" And they said the answer is always the same....Don't do it.

They laugh about this and said it has saved them many times when they might have cheated...but they couldn't after they asked each other that question.

I was laughing today and saying I need to get one of those UNCLE SAM photos with him pointing his finger and insert my face on it and put it in poster form for them for a Christmas present. lolol

ACTUALLY.......I've done that a time or two myself. Once in a while I've been in a situation where I needed or wanted to speak up in a crowd, but was feeling shy. I thought about Becky and all her public speaking...and then I would open my mouth and speak up. WWBD....it really works!!!

I don't know what to say. WOW. I would never in a million years think that I made any impacts on anyone's life. To find out that so many wonderful people such as yourself use me as an 'inner voice' really floors me and makes me teary. Thank you a thousand times over. You've made me feel very honored. Thanks for your friendship. Next time I'm in Arizona...I am coming to Tucson to meet you, I promise. I wish I were rich, I'd travel all over the place meeting all our ADBB friends. Becky- Isn't it amazing how this board works. You touch peoples lives every day, and the only ones you know about are the ones who post about it. I'm sure there are many more every day that say the same thing, WWBD?

Yes Becky, ypou've certainly touched mine. I haven't been on Atkins or the boar very long, but I've seen a lot of your posts and they hae inspired me and helped me stick to it. A lifestyle change this big is never going to be easy, and when almost everyone around you is saying 'jus have one, it won't hurt', a mental picture of a role modelsure hepls!
You're juts great and your generosity in putting up your before and after photos is truly inspirational (and that goes for many other 'Atkineers' as well).
If you ever come to Australia you can come and stay with us (but you have to like cats, we've got 5). The big house we rent, and are likely to have for 3 or 4 more years, can easily hold a few more folk!
