Exercise it the KEY!
Steve,
The key is exercise, exercise, exercise! It is not an option if you want that skin to draw back up! I was at 311 and I am at 260 now. I haven't lost any pounds in three weeks, but I lost 8.5 inches last week so I am shrinking. I am exercising every day and it is helping my "parts" to go back to where they should be. I am sure you will have some excess skin, but drinking plenty of H2O (the perfect beverage) and getting your exercise in will SOOOOO help! I am here anytime you need help.

Re: My fear........
welcome to Atkins and ADBB form a former 300+ pounder
You really need to think about what you just ask. you are afraid of sagging skin after you lose. Your fear should be of not having skin emptied of all that fat it is currently filed with. loose skin after you become the smaller healthier person you are going to become on Atkins will be dependant on your genetics in dealing with elasticity issues and how much extra stkin you have grown over the yrs to cover your body.
Work on taking the steps to get there before you worry about the after effects.

Re: My fear........
I was also afraid of loose skin. I think it is normal for all fat people to wonder what their bodies will look like if they lose the fat. I was 285 pounds. I am now 175. I do have some sagging skin, but I am sure I would have a lot more had I not drank gallons of water and done exercise. This is what puts the elasticity back into the skin. My doctor told me that if you keep exercising and drinking water...then your skin will get tighter. I would not put back on the weight in a million years - you can cover up the sagging skin with clothing. BELIEVE me, you will feel a thousand percent better, be healthier and have loads more energy. There is no comparision when it comes to saggy skin or losing the weight. Hope this helps give a view of what I've experienced.Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F

Re: My fear........
Steve,
If you have not exercised in a while I recommend the Walk away the Pounds by Leslie Sansone. I started with her a few days ago and I did five miles today.

Re: My fear........
Clothes are hiding all of my loose skin. I might not ever be able to wear a bikini, but I don't want to either, so it's all good. When people see me in smaller jeans they don't see the skin underneath. Don't worry about it, just have fun looking better every day.Michele SW250/CW 226/GW150 F, 38, 5'6"
I was down to 175 in 2007 and I will get back there again!
