Well, finished the first week and weighed myself this morning...up a pound from last week. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, or even if I AM doing anything wrong. I know one thing I am not doing is regular exercise. You would think, being in the Army, that I would be, but we are so incredibly busy around here I haven't been having the time to. I know I have got to start getting in some good workouts, but I'm not sure what else I can do. Any advise out there?

We talked about measuring, tweaking his food, making sure he got his water in, posting in the "check my menu" board AND he started a fitday account. In addition, since he doesn't have very much to lose (well, it's a lot to him but not to me), he won't lose a whole heck of a lot on induction. I'm hoping there is something else that I've forgotten

If you've been eating foods with lots of sodium in it, you might be retaining water. Drinking lots of water will flush that out, as will exercise. I didn't lose much my first week, I concentrated on getting over withdrawal before I worried about losing any weight. After the first week I started getting down to business!

well we know it isn't TOM
so that covers a lot of ground. how are the insides doing in the elimination department. if you aren't regular weight can pile up fast in there.
Now about this exercise you can do some at your desk you don't have to find a block of 30 min 3 ten meinute sessions will work better for weight loss then one 30 min session.
Are you quick time marching from place to place? are you using the stairs and not the elevators if those are options. are you going the longest way possibel to get where you are going ( hence the need for that quick time moving)? there are lots of places you can get hidden exercise time in. can you do isometrics whike you are in chow?
Lastly cause you are a fellow you have more muscle mas in which to store more proteins as amino acids.
Just keep eating your Atkins and do some exercise noexcuses and you will be the healthier smaller fellow you want to be.by the book atkinseer
