  • The problem with restarting before you are ready

Well, I was planning on restarting on Wednesday (today) and when I was making my journal entry on Monday, I made a rash decision to start then. Well the problem with rash decisions is that they are usually not the right ones. I wasn't mentally ready to start on Monday, and although I gave it a good shot, I failed miserably. I went on a carb bender yesterday that was not a good thing.

So today will be my new restart day. Pants I have been wearing comfortably are snug, and the scale did not agree with me this morning (up another pound).

So it's time to drink my water and say goodbye to those evil carbs again.

oh the challenge of blocking those high carb sireens when they call you back to your high carb ways.

Remember you are a junkie in detox and think hard about your wife and kids and where you want your health and body to be next yr. We know you want to grow old with them and watch them growup and have families but now is the time for you to make your wamts happen. be strong.

    Happy low carbing.

I completely understand what you are saying. In a way it is like when I'd started many times before this last one with good intentions, but blew it. This time, I was right where I needed to be (mentally) in order to commit to making it happen. Congratulations on your start today. I'll be sending you good vibes to help you stay on track!!

Okay...so TODAY is the first day of the rest of your life. Monday was just a practice drill!!!

You're absolutely right...one has to be mentally ready to do this or it just doesn't fly.

        You can do this!!!
