Yes I know the whole Starbucks thing stalled me as well as a few Atkins Bars...but I have been off them for several weeks now and I only lost like a pound. Then I weighed this AM like I do EVERYDAY and I am up 6 more pounds lol. What in the heck is happening? I am NOT cheating at all and I am getting in all that I need. Please help a disturbed woman!

your fitday is empty for Nov so it is hard to see what you are eating to see if their is trouble there.

Have you seen your doc to rule out a medical reason like hypothyroid?

What you doing for the exercise part of your Atkins.

What do you normally eat day to day? What kind of exercise are you doing? Are you drinking water and getting a good night sleep each night? Are you eating past the point of being satisfied, even if it is a legal food?

HI, no I do not have a thryoid problem and I eat 1 egg, 2 sausage patties for Breakfast. For lunch I had Raost, 1 cup of Broccoli and a 20 ounce water. For Dinner I had 1 cup of Broccoli...2 shrimp and 2 small burgers (no buns) only cheese with them. My water intake was down for today due to working all day and class this evening. Sucks I know, but cant help that...drank about 20 ounces before bed YIKES!

I do Walk Away the Pounds at least 3 days a week and I prolly walk a mile at work 3 days a week...Retail and no the walking isnt casual lol. Customers are picky during the Holidays.

My water intake hasnt been the greatest lately. I know I need to up it ALOT. Caffine FREE drinks are easier to grab in a jiffy.

              Re: /Sigh

Well it sounds like you might be nudging up against your problem by just asking yourself what you are doing everyday. I feel that adequate body hydration is going to make or break you. You are getting exercise, you are eating few carbs (from what I can see without fitday), the only thing you are consistently missing on is water.

Medically, it seems obvious that the body is designed to hold onto what it is lacking in. For example, when your caloric level drops too low, your body assumes it is starving and locks down. I believe the same holds true for water. When your body hydration level goes to low, your body assumes that it is not going into water starvation and locks down by storing any excess water it can spare in your tissues.

And so, though it sounds strange, by increasing your water intake, your body will dump some of those excess liquid pounds (and flush out some of the toxins in your body on the way out). What use does it have for the reserve liquid, after all, if it knows you are going to give it all it wants?

I dunno if this helps any at all, but I like to overload myself on facts. Eliminating the mysteries behind why this plan works helps me to keep a tight leash on any urges, cravings, or desires to slack off that I might have.

You're not eating much but it seems pretty light on vegetables. I have a big salad at lunch every day (3 letteuce leaves, 1 baby carrot, 2 sticks celery, green beans, snowpeas, 4 or 5 tiny tim tomatoes) plus some meat or cheese. AT dinner I have a carrot, beans, snow peas, sometimes some squash or zucchini, onion, cauliflower - either steamed or stir fried, plus meat of some sort. Try to eat lots more veges, they fill you up and I am losing sateadily at 2 kgs per week average.

                    Re: /Sigh

Are you close to that Time of the Month. If so that could very well be your Problem. When I was my heaviest it wasn't unusal for me to go up 12 pounds overnight. As I ahve lost weight my Periods are now lighter which rocks and also I gain less weight with them usually around 5 pounds. I ahd one month where I gained 16 pounds with my TOM. It was horrible I felt horrible but, I lsot it and lost more along with it.

It's very important to get your water up, think of it this way you have all this fat circulating and ketons circulating trying to get out of the body but, without proper hydration it doesn't happen fast enough and the dreaded can happen your body can rediposit that fat back where it came from so ya really wanna get your water in. When your fat cells shrink or you lose fat your body has this amazing ability to store toxins in your fat cells so when that is lost you really need to get that out of your body as well. SO it's even more imprtant to drink up so that you can FLUSH the FAT literally.

unless you are OWL other veggies you shouldn't be doing those carrots.

what walk away the pounds are you doing? is your job walking new to you if not then it doesn't "count" as exercise as it was part of your life style basal activities before you began your weight loss and you need to add some new to your body exerice to get your body burning more of your body fat..

You can read the FAQs on why we need water to lose weight. Bren busted her stalled back in 2003 by just adding more water to her daily drinking.

Yes the whole job thing is new to me...I have not worked since 1999. And yes I have slowly been adding the water back in. I love water, but I just got out of the habit. I do the 2 mile WATP's and I also stretch alot and I even ran some with the dogs tonight while walking them. BTW I am back down to my CW weight and minus a few!
