  • Don't procrastinate, Just do it!

Every year we make promises called resolutions for the New Year. And most of us break those resolutions because we forgot to make a plan to achieve them! 2006 is right around the corner. This year instead of wishing you were thinner or hoping that you can lose the weight that is bothering you, make plans to make it happen!

This year try something different! WRITE down what you are going to do to lose the weight. Don’t write down do more exercise. Write down what exercises and how many you’ll do each day. Write down what time of day is best to do them. Then, make an appointment with yourself to do it. Treat your ‘Exercise appointment’ like you would a doctor’s appointment. Write down how much water you pledge to drink each day. Write out your plans for days when you are feeling blue or mad or busy.

This sounds like a lot of trouble, but if you are like I was…a constant procrastinator (with thousands of excuses), then it might be just what you need.

If you want 2006 to be the year that you really get serious about losing the weight and changing your life-style, then take the time to prepare for it.

Thank you so much for that reminder. I know that every year I make the same goals, but I never actually write out the steps to achieving those goals. This year WILL be different!
