  • Time for a holiday Sing-Along...Atkins style!

    "I'm Dreaming of a Low-Carb Christmas"
    (sung to White Christmas)

    I'm dreaming of a low-carb Christmas
Just like the ones in Atkins' tomes
    Where the cauliflower
    With cream that's sour
Are on the stove in peoples' homes.

    I'm dreaming of a low-carb Christmas
    With every syllable I write
May your thighs be muscled and tight
And may all your holidays be light.

      Atkins the low-carb doctor

You know South Beach, Weight Watchers, The Zone, Biggest Loser
Stillman's, LA Club, Fit For Life for choosers
      But do you recall
The most famous Doctor of all?

      Atkins the low-carb doctor
Wrote a book to help us be
      Thin, glad and happy people
      Instead of having chubby knees
All of the doctors shunned him
      Nutritionists would snub their nose
But people who ate his knowledge
Found they're shrinking in their hose.

I was a skeptic once, you see,
      but Atkins came to say
"Eat this way and you'll be fit
And there'll be less fat where you sit"

So now I'm a thinning person
My meds are gone, my doctors say
      Thanks to our favorite doctor
The one who's helped us, Dr A!

LOL. Excellent work Cleo!!! I remember us doing that with Christmas songs when I was at Basic Training...but considering it was a bunch of guys who were finishing up 8 weeks of combat training, I will NOT post the lyrics.
