What does the "induction flu" feel like? I feel so sick to my stomach today, it's only day 2 for me. Will this pass?

Re: "Induction flu"
I'm not sure if this is morning sickness/potentially pregnant or part of the induction phase. I did vomit a couple times this morning already. This NEVER happened the last time I did Atkins.Kim

Re: "Induction flu"
To be honest, induction flu will strike different people in different ways, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if that is what you are experiencing.
Unfortunately I don't know that much about morning sickness to be able to talk on much authority. But if it is induction flu it will pass in a couple of days. The best thing you can do in the first instance is to increase the water that you are drinking. That helps flush out the flu.
Hope this helps, but please keep us informed.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Re: "Induction flu"
Kim,
this doesn't sound like induction flu at all. you may have caught a bug or eaten something spoiled? Thinking salmonella...
If there is the possibility of it being morning sickness, you better check that, too. And try to keep some water down to make sure you are hydrated.
Hope you are better soon,

Re: "Induction flu"
As they posted different folk have different symptoms depending on what they are addicted to (Caffeind for me) and their bodies.
Induction flu should pass by day 4 if there is any chance it is moening sickness you need to stop your induction.by the book atkinseer

Re: "Induction flu"
Thanks for everyone's tips so far. I plan on taking a pregnancy test in the next few days to rule that out. I could go either way, I want to be pregnant...but I'd like to lose weight first. I'm kind of on the fence on what I "hope" this is. I hope this passes soon, it's not fun. I'm feeling better this afternoon. Guess we'll see what tomorrow bringsKim

God that scares me!Originally posted by fr1endly2LO carb lifestyle gave me my first bological child after 14 years of

I've been married for 10yrs, and haven't been fertile (and I LIKE it that way!!!). Last thing I need is to FINALLY get the body I've been wanting, and then WHAM!
*sigh* Guess I shouldn't be thinking about that now. I have bigger fish to fry...like STAYING AWAY FROM SWEETS!
(Pardon the grouchiness...I'm only on day 2, and the sugar cravings are killing me...LOL)

Re: "Induction flu"
Hey Wayless! We started the same day and at almost the same weight! That's so coooooooool... he he he... sorry... I'm amused easily... I'm going through a sugar withdrawal as well... My boy friend has fertility problems... if we wanted children he would have to take testosterone pills... so I don't mind being fertile... it will just make it easier on my half if/when we decide to have children!

Re: "Induction flu"
Oh, honey! Be glad you didn't have to deal with it! This is my 2nd time trying Atkins. The first time, I was sick for the first four days. This time, I got a massive headache the first day. Today I'm better, but I still feel weak. It pretty much sucks, but the good thing is that it goes away.Originally posted by sidrahI feel left out during these conversations..I never had any induction flu-type symptoms. Oh well.
