  • Day 2 ---- OUCH

Its day 2, I'm hungry, I'd love to have something sweet, but i"m not going to. Theres only 12 days left to this induction time, then maybe I might do it again. Today I had scrambled eggs for breakfast with a bratwurst. Lunch was a chef salad with blue cheese dressing, and dinner was a chicken thigh and a chicken leg. My snack was some chicharron with chili powder and melted cheese. I think I need to drink more water today.
I think I've been a bit cranky and sluggish as well. So what did I do? I rented a steam cleaner and steam cleaned my carpets ( a little exercise). Tomorrow its back to work and a chair at a computer, but then in the evening I"m standing and walking in the classroom as I teach (a bit more action).
Yesterday I was at 290 lbs, I'm not going to weigh myself for a week becaue I'm the one who will jump on the scale every hour if I could. For a person who is so anal about how I do things I should have been anal on how I was eating and putting on the weight. 2005 was the first year in my life that I felt swollen, I mean my feet would actually swell up a bit at times so I knew that my body was totally out of control. Dr. says my heart is good, just need to bring down the cholestrol and LOSE WEIGHT. DUH.
Day three is in a couple of hours I can make it.
Lord, my dream is to lose this weight and to be healthier.

I'm on day 5 and I know exactly how you feel... today was the first day i could actually control my appetite. I notice that if you up your water intake you don't get as hungry... so you don't eat as much... plus the more water you drink the faster you can flush all that sugar and carbs from your body that you were eating prior to this WOE. I promise you it does get easier. After day 3 I really didn't have cravings for sugar and pasta (my weak spot). But I still have a long journey ahead of me... But I'll be here every step of the way! I have about 140 lbs to lose too... YOU CAN DO IT !

Arre you getting enough veggies? Salad isn't sufficient and shouldn't be your only source of veggies during induction.

When I did Induction, I found having the real veggies helped alot with the induction flu.

Hang in there, I'm battleing my sugar-demons too. I was sugar-free for 5 weeks before Christmas then blew it. Oh well I know I can do it again.

I find that protein and fat really help stop the sugar cravings. I keep a plate of chicken breasts in the fridge along with turkey smokies and turkey dogs. Quick zap in the micro then a bit of mayo or salad dressing to dip in and the sugar cravings die down. I don't worry about the extra protein and calories because I know that in a week or so the appetite will decrease and the cravings will die down.

Hang in their and you can make it.
