  • I have a confession...

I've stalled. I'm only in my second week and I have stalled. To answer the obvious questions:

    1. No, I have not been cheating.
    2. Yes, I have been drinking water (at least 64oz., but not as much as I
    should be).

The obvious answers to why (for me):

    1. I think I might have inadvertantly knocked myself out of ketosis or something. I had coffee twice this past week using quite a bit (around 3oz.) of "Half and half." Until I saw the thread about it in the induction forum yesterday, I thought it was okay as a cream.
    2. I'm not drinking AS MUCH water as I should be. I need to get in roughly 40-50 more oz. per day.
    3. I have not started my exercise routine YET.

Otherwise, I have resisted temptation: from the cake(s) this week, (all 4--yes FOUR-- of them)...to the free cookie offers today (one from a co-worker, and another from the Starbucks Kiosk guy in my building). I even hand-delivered that free cookie from Starbucks to my office-mate, so she could have it.

Obviously, I'm not happy that I'm not down so far this week, BUT, I'm also happy to KNOW that I've not cheated. I have to do some tweaking and be extra cautious about hidden ingredients (particularly in my seasonings because I've been using quite a few for variety), but at least I don't have to make any major changes. I might have to cut the cream out because it might be problematic for me, as I know it can be for some people.

Of course, I must start my exercise routine this weekend. My first week, I was sick, but this week, I have no excuses. Secondly, I MUST work harder to get more water down.

I'll have to tighten up this ship. My goal for the next week (by next Thursday's weigh-in) is to be down by at least 8lbs to 294. You heard it here first.

wayless think of it as just a hesitation in that ship. it is very normal to slow daown in the second week as we all know. Also not getting enough water makes your body hold on to all the water it has too.

Exercise will get you going as will getting over beiung sick. when the immune system is active it is hard to get anything working right.

Hang in ther next week tyou will be posting about all the inches you lost.

              :P

You only have to worry if you're in bootcamp! And even then, I'm not sure how tough I'll be, this will teach me a lot about myself too!

Have a wonderful day, and don't be skeered!

If you are only in your second week, you have nothing to worry about. Stick it out, the weight will fall!
