    don't forget stalls are defined as 4 weeks of no loss of inches nor pounds.

    Losing and regaining the same pounds as you play around with your plan doesn't really count as a stall. Just 2 weeks ago you were celebrating losing 4 pounds. Technically you are at about the3 week phase of your new lower cal lower protein program and as we tell all post 14 day newbies weight loss isn't linear and it is very normal to have a hesitation after your 14 days as your body adjusts to your new program changes.

    BTW did you get your B12 shot this week? can you look back and see if you have fluid issues after getting it over the past couple of months.
    Have patients with Atkins and keep working the plan.

      I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but that was the first thing I thought when I read Iyam's workout regimine. Sounds like you are doing an awful lot of strength training, which as I'm sure you know, packs in the muscle.

      Maybe you should continue the cardio and ease up on the weights a bit? Dunno. I agree with everyone else, though. You'll get over this hump!

        That is so frustrating!!! I'm in a similar situation.. I've been up and down and up and down the past two months as well, and had to fight extremely hard to get to where I am, and of course it was up a little today.. Anyway the thing that bothers me is that I too have been doing everything right and exercising harder then ever, I should have lost so much weight this week.. instead I gained!!

        But I think intellectually it is the exercise doing it. It just doesn't make any sense to me that if I eat 1,200 calories, exercise hard for a 40-60 minutes a day, drink my water, get a full night sleep, etc.. that I should gain weight.. So I tell myself over and over again that it's water retention.. but when the scale doesn't budge for a week you can only believe that line for so long!!!

        But looking at you and everyone else and noticing the same thing going on - maybe it really is water retention or something. I dont' know!! if you figure it out please let me know as well as it is driving me crazy too!! You are doing amazing though, dont' forget that!!!

          Hey Sarah, the same thing is happening to me right now. The last 2 months, I am up and down the same 3-4 lbs. Maybe our bodies are trying to tell us something. I wish they could talk! I know with having the flu for about 10-12 days over the holidays, and not being able to workout, didn't help the matter either. I was very careful with my food consumption, and stayed on plan the whole time. So while it is frustrating, I know in the long run, we just have to wait it out, continue to do everything we have been doing for the year, and I know good results will come for us. Keep smiling, sending you lots of positive vibes!!!

            OK- SO- *hugs first of all..... second of all- didn't you just post teh pics from now and a couple of months ago... I beleive we both agreed how much smoother you were getting------------------GIRL that is muscle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what else to tell you except you OBVIOUSLY OBVIOUSLY OBVIOUSLY(I can't say it enough) are losing fat and gaining muscle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't worry- I would say don't sweat it but I know you will sweat it off!!!!!!

              Sarah! YOu are still amazing! Even if you or your body are "stubborn" , you are both amazing!


              Remember that muscle weighs more than fat....

              even a little bit of muscle can weight more than a bigger amount of fat..

              so if you are lifting weights, of course it will show as weird on the scale, because your body is building muscle...

                I sure hope so. I am feeling better today after My big vent out yesterday and you are all sooo Aweosme and I thank you all so much for comming here and supporting me. I am just sticking it out and now that I think about it when I first did BFL back when I started I had 6 weeks of no loss after I started. I am just gunna have to wait LOL and good things will come. I am so committed to this woe leaving it never even crossed my mind. This is a WOL for me now No turning back.

                Oh, I did get my B12 shot 2BIG 2 days ago so everything is good LOL. I think I am due for tom in about 5 days it's soscrewed up right now I ahve no idea when to expect it. I was like clockwork to the day up till the last month and now it's AWOL.

                  Sarah,

                  I started treating candida yeterday and I am already down a pound. I think I need to stick to the yeast free Atkins plan. Darn it! Oh well, at least I know for me, why the scale wasn't moving.

                    So glad you figured that out MOM I am taking a Herb that is supposed to help with Candida can't say I notice anything. LOL But I did notice my ankles were swollen and I peed like 6 times last night in my sleep grrrr so I lost some water weight finally. Don't know what I weigh and I'm not checking cause it depresses me so I'll just keep going.

                      didn't you add a T3 last month too? give it time as when you get thyroid increase every cell in your body revs up a bit and those chemical making places are finally getting back in range for them so they will be making more of the things they are programed for and it will take your body time to adjust to thouse changes too.

                        I get them checked again in 2 months I just had Everything done and all my Levels are Great so I am feeling good thank goodness. I have noticed the addition of the Afternoo T3 is really helping not so much in weight loss but energy and stuff.

                          Hope you don't mind me jumping in, you've definitely received some good advice. You said that you were spotting all month, and that makes me think something hormonal is going on, which might make you retain water. Is there any chance you are pregnant? I just remember Dawn not being able to figure out why she was gaining, and the next thing we know she's having an adorable little girl.

                            If you go up when you're doing weights (ie. lifting 30 lbs vs 25 the week before) your muscles will retain more water to help them build back up... I gain about 3-5 lbs for a couple days after a strenuous weight lifting session... As a note, women can only gain about 2 lbs of muscle per YEAR, unless you're using steroids, etc etc.

                                Sorry, I'll ask my trainer for where he got the info since that's where I got it. Good to see folks slamming folks again instead of trying to take advice for what it is. And I try and remember why I keep coming back.
