  • Little Victories are Victories, too!

First, may I start by saying, I never pictured a place where new friends would celebrate with each other every single pound. I never knew I could have a support system like this. Sometimes the support of my fellow CCers, and others really makes me tear up. You "guys" are priceless, and I appreciate you all more than you may ever know!

I know I haven't lost tons, but I am starting to feel good. Darn good! I'm voluntarily doing excercise, walking my dog and a pace faster than I ever thought would happen, getting up early. Oh, and finally starting the new business that I never had the confidence to do. Yes, by March, I will be standing weekly in front of groups of strange women! I'm so stoked! I wouldn't have done this without Atkins, just imagine what's in store for my future!!!

So. . .this thread is titled Little Victories. I just need to share that I have been cheat free for 4 days, and have lost 4 pounds!!!!! I'm so excited! I am going to blow my 240 by March first goal away!!!!

So, thanks for the ear or shoulder! Thanks for celebrating my joys, and empathizing with my sorrows! You are all amazing people, and I appreciate you all!

    Kristi

Thats what is so so special about this board.

I remember when I first started out, I got so much inspiration and determination from others here.

Now I am one of the longer serving members and look to pass it on.

I'm glad you are here, I appreciate you too.

It may seem strange to some people that we cheer over every pound that is lost...but, we all know the frustrations, temptations and discipline that it takes to make it happen.

So, it may be one little pound to some, but each pound lost brings one of our friends closer to their goal....and that is something to shout and dance about!!

You're doing great....14.5 pounds is definitely worth celebrating!! Congratulations!!

So true. 14.5 pounds is a whole stone in British weight terms, so no mean feat at all.

Yep, now I'm crying again! I think I am a bigger disaster than I was when I was pregnant! I think it's because I know that my life is changing, and I never thought I would have the confidence to do that. I was going to settle being fat and excluding myself from people and events because of my weight. But not anymore. . . I have to say it again, you guys are amazing! I am a hugger, and if I ever get ahold of any of you, I plan on hugging your new skinny bodies to pieces!

Kristi,, you are doing FABULOUS!!! Each pound lost is worth celebrating for!!! We started at about the same weight, and it took me 2 whole months to lose 15 pounds,, so WAY TO GO!!!

There are no such things as "little" victories.. only victories!!! You can only lose this one pound at a time.. heck sometimes one ounce at a time, so celebrate those victories!!!

good for you. folks are always amazed at what taking control of one aspect of their life does to other aspects. there was another big loser here who was concerned about taling a new posistion cause she would have to speek infor of a large group. 6 months later you should have seen her confidently worded posts telling us about her confernece and how she controlled a serious issue facing them. Oh and her weight loss was astonishing too.

14.5 lbs is a great loss. I feel much more confident too, with my new body, and have done a Workplace Training Certificate. I would never have stood up in front of everyone on that course in my fat persona. Sure feel good, doesn't it!

Kristi--way to go! Each time someone succeeds they pull the rest of along too. We know how each drop of weight loss feels. The success of others it reminds us all that we too can do it, just stick with it. That's why posting here is important. Especially on days when it's not going well and you feel down. You've just reminded me AGAIN why this is such a great WOE (way of eating)...Cheers!
