hot, like sweats after they eat! whoa!
between this and dry mouth, I will go insane he he he I am not old enough for hot flashes so i am not sure!

hot after you eat can be 2 things either you ate something you are allergice to or you had some endothermic food like hot peppers and it is increasing your metabolism.

I had eggs green peppers and mushrooms and cheese all mixed...hehe I am not allergic to any.. It only laster like 5 min...I donno hope I am not sick!

Well, I'm not getting hot, but I do notice that my heart begins to pound after I eat, kinda weird like I think something is wrong with me. Feels like its beating hard even through my chest and throat. This has only happened in the past couple of days and only after I eat a meal. Not if I drink something as in coffee or my water.
Has anyone had this happen to them?

I have not experienced either of these things, but I was talking to the cashier at Walmart one time and I had purchased some Atkins products. We had got talking about the diet and she told me that both her and her husband had felt a warm feeling in certain spots after being on induction for a few days. She said she thought it was the fat burning off.

I have never felt fat burning off in my life, but I never said anything to that effect to her.

you know i've had wierd sensations time to time too, not bad ones just different. Once inawhile i'll feel like i have a buzz going on, no alcohol involved! or kind of tingly...strange. I often experience that dry mouth thing too, mostly in the late afternoons! I'll drink and drink water but it doesn't seem to help that much.

Spoke to my friend Johnny, who is in Atkins also, and he said that he would sometimes get that hot or sweaty feeling for a bit, then it would go away. As for me... well he said for me to go to my dr. LOL

Johnny has done great on Atkins, He has lost about 50 lbs he thinks. Johnny is an engineer who does everything to the fullest. No cheating etc..

I don't want to scare you but you need to get checked for diabetes. I have it and I get those symptoms when my blood sugar is out of whack... Good luck and PM me if you have any questions...

When I was doing induction would get hot flashes for two days and then it went away. I post on the induction board about it. It scared me because I thought I was going through the change early but I have not had a hot flashe since.

yeah they disappeared havent had any for like 3 days... I am close to being dibetic, but not there doc said id be fine if i changed my ways if i continued then i would. sooo i am not thinkin it is that but i am going to get a checkup soon to ensure all is well
