    Water Question

As I've been told and also have read in daBOOK...I am to be drinking 60 plus ounces of water per day. I've never been a good water drinker, especially when the weather is cold. NO excuses, I know.
Here's my question? I have read the label on Crystal Light lemonade and I see that it has no carbs... no nada. If I add a slice of lemon to my water, I am adding a hidden carb. Is it alright if I can have some of the crystal light during the day as my water or is that not good for me.
I'm so taste conscience I guess... Feel I"m forcing the water down my throat, but if I have something added in it, I drink it by the bucketload.

    Love and Prayers

    Re: Water Question

Crystal Light has nutrasweet aka aspartame. Aspartame can be a weight loss obstacle for some people. It can also induce cravings. Even drinks flavored with splenda, a DANDR approved sweetener, adds a carb per packet.

When I first started induction, I was having 3 diet cokes a day. Despite eating everything correctly, I only lost 5 pounds in 3 weeks. I personally think it was the aspartame.

It may not affect you like it does others. That will be for you to decide. Just remember that it can hinder your efforts. Good luck.

      Re: Water Question

The only water that counts is WATER (and technically ice, I suppose). You're trying to form new, good, habits, and hydrating yourself (no matter how painful it may be at first) is a really really important one.

As Moochiecat might suggest, try adding a slice of cucumber to your water instead of the fake lemonade mix.

It's been said "It only counts as water if you would wash a sweater in it". lol

I really like to put a slice of lemon or lime in my water. I dont actually squeze it in i just let it sit at the bottom & it gives my water the slightest flavour,
