  • bouncing pounds

I did my thursday weigh in and had gain 5lbs. Then friday morning I weighed again and had lost the five pound. Weighed saturday and gained the five pounds back and weighed sunday and had lost the five pound. I weighed this morning and had gained the five pounds back. I woke up during the night to go to the bathroom and I did the keostick and it was dark purple. The only thing I could think of is that I drank a liter diet dr. pepper yesterday. I ate on plan with no cheats. I have been doing some exercising and I feel real good, but scale keeps bouncing back and forth for the past week and a half with the same five pounds. I weigh when I first get up in the mornings. I only weighed those many days because of the fluctuations in weight.

    Re: bouncing pounds

The same thing has happened to me lately, when I weighed on friday I was up 100 grams, saturday I was down 600 grams..... And yesterday, I was up by 800 grams...

I have to go back to weighing once a week....

I once read, that to get your true weight, you should weigh everyday and figure out the average for the week.....that's your real weight!

I know it's hard to avoid the scales but it is something that i have had to do for my own sanity! Now, i weight myself once a week & measure mysellf once a week, inches can tell you what scales cant.

I totally agree with iamcrazy on this one. Inches are what counts more than weight and it's a boost to see the inches diminish even if the scale isn't being your friend.

Yes, once a week and measure once a month here. I'd go mad if I looked at the scale weight every day.

            Re: bouncing pounds

I usually find that will happen to me too. I'll stay the same, go down, go back up and then all of a sudden WHOOSH and it stays off. Then repeat. Go figure.
