  • Doing a happy dance for Christopher!!

As you may recall, Christopher (Alpha_Wolf_1966) has been on Atkins since October, and right now he's off at drill sergeant school. Before he left, he passed the Army's weight/measurement standard for candidates. However, when he arrived for school at the beginning of the month, they weighed/measured him and had him listed as failing!! (He hadn't gained any weight, so how that happened is beyond us.) Normally he would have been booted out and sent home, but since there were so many who failed they gave them until today to lose weight and inches.

During this month, Christopher has stayed completely faithful to plan, which wasn't easy considering all he has is a mess hall, a fridge and a microwave. And guess what?? This morning was the big weigh-measurement test. He passed without any problem!!!! Yeeeehawwwwwww!!!! He's now down to 193, and his belt is so big that he's gonna have to punch new holes or buy a new one.

I am SOOOOO proud of him. He's really taken to Atkins and has made it his lifestyle. I've been doing happy dances all morning for him!!!

Way to go Chris!! Eating on base is turning out to be a challenge for Kent too! Luckily hamburgers are a staple food for him there and apparently alot of nuts! It hasn't affected him though, he is often able to work out twice a day. Congrats again for you both

You know, 2Big, I didn't think to ask him!! I'll ask him when he calls later today. He has told me that to his knowledge, he was the only failed one that was on Atkins, and that most of the others were doing what he used to do----live on yogurt and salads, practically starving themselves. He got a huge kick out of the fact that while they were eating yogurt for dinner on Saturday, he went to a restaurant and had a steak. lol
