  • Whooshie Meal!

I've found my very own secret weapon .... and it is.... *drum roll* VINEGAR! No I'm not drinking vinegar (ewwwwwww). I work at a Deli... so you can just imagine the temptation I fight everyday. So one day I decided "Hey I could really go for a tuna salad with oil and VINEGAR." So I ate that for my dinner... and the next morning *WHOOSH!* 1.5 lbs lighter. I'm not doing an official weigh-in for today until 9am (which is when I normally weigh myself) Just thought I would share!

ooo... I'm thinking about trying that... how much vinegar did you add? just a dash? or a bit more?
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

        Re: Whooshie Meal!

Here is another recipe / meal that is good for "whooshies"

        Hamburger Pie

        2lbs of ground beef(lean)
        1 package of cream cheese
        2 tsp yellow mustard
        2 tsp horseraddish
        garlic powder to taste
        salt and pepper to taste
        dehydrated onions to taste

1st combine cream cheese, mustard, and horseraddish, garlic powder, salt and pepper, and dehydrated onions in a mixing bowl. Smooth it all out so when its done it will be a creamy yellow almost like the consistancy of the yolk of deviled eggs. Put aside, and split beef in half. Make a large hamburger patty and put into a round cooking dish(or square if you dont have round). Sprinkle with some salt and pepper and spread cream cheese mixture over the hamburger patty and take the other half of beef and make into another patty. Put on top of the patty with the cream cheese mixture and pinch the sides closed sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake at 325 for 55 min or until well done. Slice like a pie and enjoy!

Before anybody runs out and gets vinegar to replicate that whooshie effect our poster needs to verify that by having it again for several days in a row to see if she does infact whoosh from it again and a gain or was she due for a whooshie and it was just a coinsedense she whoosed after having vinegar.

            Just sharing.....

About the vinegar...I've often wondered about it. I remember when I was in middle school...there was a girl who was very thin. Her dad was a doctor. We were talking on the bus about adding vinegar to spinach. Well, she replied that her dad didn't allow her to eat anything with vinegar in it because it burned fat. I've always remembered that. I even ate vinegar on almost everything for a while, but it didn't burn any fat for me unless I was making fat faster than it could eliminate it.

                  Re: Whooshie Meal!

2Big.... I will be trying it again today. I will post tomorrow morning whether whooshie faerie visited me again. Maybe I was do for a wooshie. I usually lose a few onces a day... so I was sure it was a whooshie. But to satisfy you and myself I will do it again today.

Rich, That sounds like an awesome recipe... I believe I will be trying that soon.

Changing... well I had maybe a cup of lettuce a thin slice of onion, a tablespoon of tuna, a tablespoon of oil, and 2 tablespoons of vinegar.

I will be posting tomorrow morning to investigate this whooshie! So I guess I better go and make my salad!

in caser you haven't seen the topic about the whooshie pie it is the horseradish tht acts as a diuretic in humans that gives the whoosh from jens recipe.

Wait are you talkin to me 2big? I do not mean to sound rude... but if that was directed towards myself I would just like to say that I am young, but I do know about the whole horse radish, sour kraut, vinegar ordeal. Like I said I am not being rude. It just made me feel as if maybe you were talking down to me (if you were talking to me... )

Young doesn't always mean stupid... but if there is going to be a problem I will leave the board. I have got myself off to a wonderful start... and I don't want to start any trouble.

Hmmm..... I have not eaten this in years, but my family always made spinach with vinegar and butter. Boil down your spinach, add butter and server yourself up some, then add the vinegar to taste. A little goes a long way.
Lord, my dream is to lose this weight and to be healthier.

not to you loser5 it was directed to anybody reading the recipe above cause she didn't link it to the topic. You'd be surprized what folk personalized that recipe to and then complained cause they didn't get the whooshie after they left out the horseradish. When you are on any weight loss plan the human body adds fluids to your tissues as the fat cells in those tissues shrink. it has to do with the rules of chemical reactions dealing with pressures and stuff. When your body exceeds your individual tolerance for those fluids interference with other bichem properties the body will generate a chemical to force the fluids out and that is what weight loss folk refer to as a visit from whooshie hence the name of her pie. There are foods like asperagus and horse radish that also contain chemicals that act as diuretics in humans andd can cause folk to lose the water weight they have added while shedding fat weight. ( that is another reason why you can see inches being lost while that metal monster scale doesn't move.)

So how did your experiment with the vinegar go? did you shed some more pounds today too?

I was curious about how this turned out. Can adding a little vinegar to your salad or cucumbers be helpful to the water saving properties that 2big was talking about.?
