    Re: Chin Exercises

I dont know if there is any truth in this what so ever, but someone once told me that if you slap under your chin fairly gently using the back of your hand it helps.

I have no way of saying if this works or not.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

LOL,LOL I can certainly try that, but all it does is giggle and wiggle! I will do some extensive internet research and post findings. I have never really had a neck, and now i even have two chins, so this is important to me!

        Re: Chin Exercises

I really think it's hereditary. I've seen women bigger than me with no double chin, and some women smaller than me with bigger double chins. Once you get to a smaller weight, though, it will go away. I'm not advocating liposuction, but other than that, I don't see how it could go away any sooner. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try some sort of exercise, though. Let us know what you find.

Doing crunches could help strenghthen (and tone) that overall area if you do them properly by not pulling on your neck. You have to support the weight of your head coming off the ground while you're doing the crunch...plus you get some great ab work at the same time.

there are some facial exercisies to do..u can really get rid of double chin..but as i see that u have 110lbs to loose..it will take some time..u look very young..so if u just lose weight double chin will vanish..

              Re: Chin Exercises

I would just give it time to go away with weight loss. Mine went away since doing Atkins, in fact, my whole face is smaller. Sometimes when I look in the mirror now, it seems like my neck is too long. I'm not used to seeing a thin neck. LOL

It'll go down with weight loss, like it did for me and my fiance. Exercise in general I think helps tighten up all areas of your body, so any exercise you do will help your face look more tone and smooth Goodluck!

                        Re: Chin Exercises

Here is what I do. I discussed this with lostandfound a long time ago. She told me that if you point your chin in the air and hold it for several minutes each day at least 5 times a day it will tighten the muscles in the neck. I do this religiously. As you can see, I still have a bit of a wobble, but it is not nearly as bad as I imagined it would be.

I've heard that sticking your tounge out for about 10 seconds and then repeating it a few times is supposed to help. I don't know if it's true or not, but I can say that when I'm feeling puffy and I do it my face does feel a little tighter... Could just be that my tounge is tired though...

I'm sorry, folks, but I am sitting here just about falling off my chair laughing at the vision of all of us doing our various chin exercises. Chin in air, tongue stuck out, other weird poses, what a sight we'd make all lined up doing this stuff!
