  • Low Carb Latte??

Hi guys. I am a coffee snob in the worst way and absolutely love Starbucks. I have my own espresso machine and a very nice coffee bar that I have stayed away from for almost 2 weeks now.

I was wondering if any of you had tried the low carb milk that I see at the grocery store. I don't want to get back into the everyday habit but would like to have a latte once I get to the point where I can add milk or low carb milk.

    Does anyone have any thought??

I willingly admit to being incredibly ignorant in the ways of the bean. *lol* That said, have you already thought about (or tried) using real cream? Being high fat and low-carb it's also bonus for helping calm the blood sugar wooblies the caffeine tends to cause and has a stabilizing, filling effect.

Hey I hadn't thought of that. Could I possibly add water to the cream in order to make a "milk" in order to steam for the latte. Hmmmm.. That's a thought. I would just enjoy a decaf latte in the evenings sometimes. Just to get good and warm.

What stage of the diet are you on?

Caffeine is generally a no no on Atkins.

I have a Latte everyday. I use watered down cream and sf DaVinci syrup.

I make latte's all the time. Rich, she did say decaf! I use decaf espresso and it's amazing. Because 3 ounces of heavy cream (I personally never use more then that a day) isn't very much, I cut it with water. It's yummy.

I make decaf iced coffees all the time with heavy cream. Yummers!!! You can also experiment with DaVinci sugar-free syrups if you're in the mood to be extra fancy...

Yeah !! There is hope. I will have to get some SF Davinci syrups. Right now all I have is SUGAR FULL Starbucks syrups, but I have put them away. A nice Sugar Free Caramel DECAF (wink! Wink! Rich) latte. Thanks so much guys. I will try one this evening..

                  So glad that I asked?
