  • Fell off

Okay I have a confession to make. We had tacos last night for dinner.

I've been in this crazy depressed funk for the past little bit and had resisted up to a point. My girls and I have been doing really good but last night I think we all had enough. So we took our hamburger meat and scrambled it with some seasoning and ate tacos. Now I could normally polish off about 5 of those things. We only ate 2 a piece. I wish I hadn't done it but I did and now have to get past it...

It's so hard to get my brain in check and thinking that food is going to make me feel better. I guess it's just the way we have been raised and the memories we have of certain foods...

Oh well, now that I have been in the confessional I will do 5 extra push ups and get back on the program. Hopefully these moments of weakness will be further and further apart.

    Re: Fell off

Shrug it off and get right back on plan. We all have hiccups in the road, no one here, I bet, hasn't had a similar setback. Don't dwell on it, or let it get you so upset with yourself that you just chuck in the proverbial towel. Hang in there.

Exactly what Kagi said, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and climb back in the saddle.

You have beaten yourself up enough about it, I bet you cheat in that way again?

        Re: Fell off

yeah i guess it's inevitable... i didn't have enough veggies in the house last night and would have probably been good with a taco salad- lettuce crunches like taco shells. so i will be going to the store today to get some salad fixins....

i hadn't even thought of throwing in the towel. just pick it up- dust off the taco crumbs (haha)- and get focused again...

i think i am going to start to look at different recipes because i don't want to get board with induction and i want to stay on 20 or less for at least 3 months before i start adding carbs and finding my limit.

thanks guys ! you all are the best

Kelley you definately need to expand your menus. I was NEVER a veggie eater as a kid, would find new and interesting ways to HIDE my veggies. Now, I love them and look for them first before ordering at a restaraunt! LOL! I can personally recommend jicama and cauliflower (which shocks and amazes my mother) that I have eaten both and am still finding new ways to have it.

Congrats on picking yourself up and getting back up on the wagon!

            Re: Fell off

now that you are back on clean eating you might want to check out MOG's taco shell recipe using microwaved cheese slices as the shells even has pictures to help you make them.
