Hello, everyone. I haven't been here for a bit, and for that I am really ashamed. Two days have passed since my one year Atkins anniversary. I fell off the wagon a couple of months ago. I don't have an excuse why I did it; I just gave myself an option to fail.
In the course of the two months I was off my way of eating, I have regained over twenty pounds. I promised myself that I would never cross the 475 border again, though, and I plan to keep that promise.
It is for this reason that I have found my way back. I restarted my induction on the 24th. I am currently suffering through induction flu and feel horrible, but I know that it will pass; I have been here before. I can't help but feel more hopeful than ever even in the midst of this. Last year I weighed 575 pounds at this time. My life felt bleak and hopeless. Atkins was my final attempt before starting the gastric bypass process.
Now, I am 100 pounds smaller even with two months of regaining. I am working again for the first time in five years as a junior editor. The job has given me a great boost of confidence, and I feel ready to attack the weight.
Here's to a great year. Here's to losing another hundred pounds and celebrating all of our losses together. Here's to rekindling old friendships and igniting new ones. Here's to daily exercise and endless water consumption. Here's to living low carb and loving life!
See you guys tomorrow!
