I posted these before, but after my lab work yesterday, I had to post agaiin as my cholesterol has gone down another 10+ points!
So for those who want some proof that Atkins is good for you (to share with your family and doctor), how bout these numbers?
(Pre-Atkins 2/2004 -> 10/2004 -> 9/2005 ->3/2006)
Cholesterol: 184 -> 152 -> 158 -> 145
LDL: 108 -> 92 -> 94 -> 76
HDL: 63 -> 42 -> 52 -> 51
Triglycerides: - 75 -> 63 -> 59 -> 89
Thyroid TSH: *13.4 -> 7.3 -> 0.371 -> 0.226 (time to adjust the thyroid meds!)
Differences in the last six months:
- Had my gall bladder removed
- Added a flax seed supplement
- Eating more chicken rather than beef
- Started eating low carb yogurt for breakfast
- Lost about 12 lbs and a bunch of inches
